Mr. Hodgson’s literature class is preparing to read The House of Dies Drear, which is about a spooky house with a mysterious past rooted in the Underground Railroad. This past week, they worked on a project that used quilt symbols as hidden messages and wrote first-person narrative stories from the viewpoint of a slave escaping to freedom.
